Ellen Denuto is Vice President of the N.J. Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers. She is a regular juror, guest speaker and workshop leader for ASMP, Professional Photographers of America, Professional Woman Photographers, SOHO Photo, and various colleges and universities. She loves working with children and adults of all ages helping them find their voice through the gift of photography.
After studying Art and Education in college, Ms. Denuto worked with the Agfa, Minolta and Ilford Corporations as guest speaker and contributing photographer for their product publications and trade shows.
Larry Freed, founder of The Image Bank, selected her personal images for his International Collection, which led to worldwide exposure including FOTO, Darkroom Photography, GRAPHIS, Minolta Mirror and Japanese Playboy magazines. In addition, The Lever House Gallery showcased her work where critic where Fred McDarrah of the Village Voice, described her as “A brilliant punk fashion photographer to watch, and the “face of the new generation”. Her photograph of transgendered couple Nick and Gigi - became the poster for AMERICAN VISION and NYU’s Washington Square Gallery exhibition of the same name.
